D-U-N-S number?

Every heard of it? I hadn't either. It stands for "Data Universal Numbering System" and is a nine-digit industry number used in business research to identify individual physical locations of your business. (kinda' like how an ISBN identifies a book).
It is often used by the CCC (US Central Contractor Registration)
Lexis-Nexis (Business tab) is a good database to use. You can search by D-U-N-S number or by Company name, etc.

Businesses can also look them up here: http://www.dnb.com/US/duns_update/ (Don't sign up yourself unless you have business, costs $)

If you already knew this, then "you are smarter than a Hannah-grader".
