DVDs

A reminder to be very clear on the status of instructional DVDs and to make sure that you let users know they will not be allowed to take these outside the building. Access Services had to deal with an incident where someone received incorrect information and that happens sometimes, but with DVDs it can be particularly confusing, especially when we have multiple copies and one is "regular" and the other instructional - patrons have a hard time understanding the policy that they could check out one copy and take it with them but not the other. We need to make sure which of the two copies is actually available and make sure the patron understands that as well. If you have any questions about the DVD collection, be sure to check with someone who has been here for awhile or go with the patron to Access Services and check to make sure you're correct.
