Mark asked me to give a reminder about finding items that are kept on Reserve.
Personal books put on reserve by professors do NOT appear in the main library catalog. You must enter the catalog, choose Search > Course Reserves.
If someone asks you if we have a book and it seems like something that an instructor would think to put on Reserve, please search the main catalog AND the Course Reserves area.
If you're asked "Do you have that study guide for ACS/Do you have the book "Preparing for your ACS exam in organic chemistry?" be aware that the Reserve items search stinks for titles searching.
Set the search to COURSES and try:
- Course number with a space: CHE 352
- If that's not known, department abbreviation
- The name Bruce Banks works in this situation
