Last minute MKT 309 research questions

Some of the many MKT 309 Business Communication classes (required of all Bryan School majors; upper-level speaking and writing intensive) will be finishing up their final reports over the weekend. Many of the students are Business Administration majors who have no other class requiring research. Those students are more likely to get stressed about their assignment.

One online section researches the business culture (ex. greetings, gift-giving, gender issues, negotiation styles) of different countries. That's why we have copies of "Kiss Bow or Shake Hands" at the Reference Desk. (This is also an ebook version of the most recent edition, although the older print-only edition covers far more countries).

But most of the sections require students to research the financial health of a company plus "soft" factors like leadership, strategy, execution, etc.

http://uncg.libguides.com/mkt309 covers both topics. The "Company Research" page includes a worksheet with a suggested research plan.

You are welcome to also refer students to me; I will get back to them over the weekend.  --Steve
