Hoover's
FROM Mary - I don't know if anyone has actually reported problems here, but just in case.
If people have problems accessing Hoovers, the temporary URL that libraries is:
http://www.mergentonline.com/hoovers
As of today, the login credentials should be as follows:
Username: hoovers
Password: mergent
This will allow remote users to access Hoover's until this issue is
resolved. The vendor continues to work to fully resolve the problem as
quickly as possible. As we receive updates, we'll post additional
information in our Library Staff Service blog here:

Wed 10/31 update on Hoovers's
NC LIVE is continuing to work with Mergent to restore remote access to Hoover's Online. We have some important updates about this issue:
We have been notified that the temporary workaround URL and login for remote patron access to Hoover's does not allow patrons to download records from the database.
If patrons are having trouble logging in via the temporary URL, they likely have a conflicting cookie in their browser. Please ask them to clear their cache, or to paste the URL below into a different browser.
We have received reports that some libraries are getting a security certificate alert when accessing Hoover's from within the library. We have reported this issue to the vendor and they are working to resolve it.

Password: mergent
While users of this link are not able to download records, the link does allow remote users access to the Hoover's database while this issue is being resolved.
