ERIT support hours and contact info

Hi all,

Please see the following message from Franklin Graves who leads the Support Team in the library ERIT department. 

I'm pleased to announce that starting Sunday February 24 ERIT will be expanding our support hours.  Our normal support hours will be as follows:

Sunday: 11am - 8pm
Monday - Thursday: 7am - 8pm
Friday: 7am - 5pm

The preferred method for requesting support is always via the ERIT support email (erit@uncg.edu).  Using this method allows the first available technician to respond to your request in a timely manner.  

However, if an urgent or time sensitive request arises you may also choose to call the ERIT Help Desk at 334-4238.  Please note that this number is not always manned, even during normal operating hours.  If you call this number with an urgent request, and no one answers, then please leave a voice mail message and send an email to erit@uncg.edu

While walk-ins are always welcome, please recognize that the support staff may be working on urgent or high priority issues and my not be able to help you immediately. 

Also, please note that all of our technicians can assist you with most issues.  So, it is not necessary to request support from a specific person. Email requests sent to specific technicians my result in delays in getting your problem resolved. 

For urgent issues that arise after normal support hours please refer to the After Hours Problem Call List (all public service desks and the Administrative Office should have a copy).  All non-urgent after hours issues should be sent to erit@uncg.edu
