Off-campus access workaround

With the recent off-campus access issues we've had, I wanted to share these step by step directions I have developed for patrons to try as a workaround. Please feel free to send it to anyone contacting you with issues. I've written this for students, but the same instructions should work for anyone with a UNCG login.

1. Go to https://mycloud.uncg.edu
2. Log in with your UNCG credentials (don't use @uncg.edu on your email address, just the first part)
3. Click "OK" on the message that pops up.
4. Select "Desktops" in the top blue bar.
5. Select "Student Desktop."
6. Open a browser within the student desktop and access the Libraries' website that way.
7. You can't copy/paste between the remote desktop and your regular browser, and anything you save in the remote desktop client are not saved to your machine, so your best bet is to download the PDFs of the articles and email them to yourself as an attachment. You can also log in to drive.uncg.edu or box.uncg.edu and upload your saved PDFs there. Since these are cloud-based storage options, you should be able to access them from anywhere.
