I taped a flyer for my "Send Me a Picture" project to the reference desk where the pad of campus maps are, so in case there are any questions by patrons at the desk, here is the info!
For a research project, I am making collages with images from print media that other people have sent me. I am asking UNCG students, faculty, and staff the following via a Google Form at https://go.uncg.edu/smap.
"Please snap a quick photo of an image from any print book or magazine with your phone. By "picture" or “image,” I mean any visual element: an illustration, diagram, photograph, comic panel, whatever. Browse through some books in a library or bookstore and send an image that you like or think is interesting, or just the snap the first image you can find in the closest book or magazine you having laying around. (Don't worry about cropping the photo or anything!) This is the important part: Please only send photos you have taken from physical copies of books or magazines, not digital images you found online. Then, fill out the info below and upload your photo. You can do this as many times as you would like. Thank you!"
There is no set end date for this project yet! If anyone has questions, please tell them they can email me.
