Proxy links in Libguides

As some of you may have noticed, many of the links to individual e-books and Gale subcategory collections in LibGuides are no longer working. A few of us are in the process of changing these links, but in the meantime, the library catalog links are working.
If you want to change your own links, let me know and I'll provide further instructions.

Further, the links that have been changed are asking students to authenticate from on-campus. This is a GCN issue, so the express machines are not having this problem. ERIT knows and is trying to figure it out.

Gale sets and other withdrawals

The withdrawal of the Gale sets has started - we currrently have withdrawn the criticism sets for Classical and Medieval and 1400-1900, records have been changed and these are in the office, awaiting the possibility of donating them. We will proceed with all the other criticism sets, and then moved onto to the biographical literature Gale (with the exception of most volumes of Something About the Author and selected volumes of DLB, which will be sent to stacks). We are planning to offer others individually to some local libraries (Bennett and Guilford Tech most likely) and possibly if these are declined through the NCLA list. If anyone has ideas about who might want these, let me or Jenny know.

Michael is also setting up a project to check all the GVRL, Oxford Ref and Sage Ref titles for print duplication, including earlier editions, sharing with interns on weekends. when that has been compiled, it will be shared to see if print titles can be withdrawn.
