PubMed now links to our link resolver

If you enter PubMed through a link on the library site, you can now navigate from a result into our list of journal subscriptions. (link resolver)

1. From library home --> Databases --> PubMed - there are many places on the library site with this link but this is the fastest path
2. Type a search
3. Click into a title to see the detailed record
4. Top right corner - UNCG logo that will check to find out whether we have this article online.

If you see a "free full text" logo, follow that link INSTEAD of the UNCG logo. (Our link resolver doesn't do a good job leading people to free full text) 

If you see a logo with a publishers' name, ignore it.

5. After you click the UNCG logo, you should see one of these things

• a link to our online full text subscription for this article
•  a note saying "Get this item in print" (click "read notes" to find out if our print subscription years include the article you need)
• "online resource not found" with a link to Interlibrary loan on the far right

This just happened late last week, so I'm still updating my online guides to PubMed!

Medline via Web of Knowledge

Do you love medical literature but hate the PubMed interface? Now you can search the Medline content on Web of Knowledge.

You'll get Journal Finder links, integration (in detailed record view) with Web of Science citation index, and other benefits of the Web of Knowledge platform. Many of the search limits that you're used to using in PubMed are also in Medline via WoK. Just go to the advanced search tab.

Amy, our intrepid database team member, has created a link for the A to Z databases list. It's been added to these database lists for the few remaining (weeks?) of their lives: Biology, Communication Sciences & Disorders, Genetic Counseling, Nursing, Nutrition, Public Health Education.
