Lost flash drive

A red flash drive was turned in this morning. It belongs to Kristin Crotts, who has been notified (e-mail, Facebook) that it is being held here for her to pick up!

saving pdfs to flash drives on guest computers

To help a patron save a pdf to a flash drive on one of the guest computers:

1. Plug in the flash drive (side of the monitor)
2. Save the pdf someplace obvious on the computer, such as the documents folder.
3. Go through the motions of saving the pdf again to the same place on the computer.
4. When you see the pdf that you already saved, right-click onto it and choose "Send to"
5. Send the file to the patron's flash drive.

Flash Drive left at Reference Desk

Leatha found a flash drive next to the high desk computer on Monday at 11 AM. If it's yours, I'll keep it in my box in the Ref Office for the rest of the day today (Monday), when I'll take it to real Lost and Found at Access Services.

Saving from guest computers to Flash drive

Mary figured out how you save files onto flash drives on the guest computers.

1) save the file to the desktop
2) navigate to the desktop
3) right-click on the file and choose "save" then set location to E:removable drive
