We've worked out a clearer procedure to have Access Services contact us over the weekend or evenings too if needed because of lack of coverage or an emergency situation. Below is what I sent to them, and all of those working weekends should have a copy of this handy. If anyone assigned to a weekend shift has a last minute emergency that will cause you to be late or unable to come in and you can't reach someone else who will take your shift, let Access Services know at 336.334.5304 or 888.245.0180 and also call one of those on the list so that Access Services doesn't need to do that. If you're unable to reach Access Services, you can call someone on the list and let them know the situation. Thanks!
FOR ACCESS SERVICES
If someone fails to arrive by 30 minutes after the normal time on Saturday or Sunday (10am during regular semester), please call one of the Reference Department members below. We will contact the person who is assigned to the desk and will try to get someone there as quickly as possible.

Fill Stations on weekends
Fill Stations:
There are two Fill Stations (Library and Atrium) and they BOTH tend to be out-of-order on the weekends, either running out of guest cards or containing too much money needing emptying). We tell them to print using their Superlab money (if they still have their three free dollars worth) or email things to themselves or use the cash reimbursement card at the Circ Desk (cheaper - 6 cent doublesided, 4 cents single - than Reference, but more complicated) or our card in Reference (more costly - 10 cents per page - but easier) . If they want to do laundry, send them to the new, nice, private "University Laundromat" on 948 Walker Street/corner Tate Street , phone 336-617-0280, so they can use cash.
