Message from Stacey Krim re Chemistry Library (srkrim@uncg.edu)
As you may be aware, we are in the process of dismantling the Chemistry Library. This will result in most of the material being recycled, but some of the material is being transferred over to Jackson by Ann and Will within the next few days.
As you may be aware, we are in the process of dismantling the Chemistry Library. This will result in most of the material being recycled, but some of the material is being transferred over to Jackson by Ann and Will within the next few days.
In order to avoid any future confusion, please be aware of the following:
- The Chemistry Library is closed and about to be turned into faculty offices for the Chemistry Department. Do not send students there for material.
- Katherine has updated the catalog holdings to reflect that location changes for material added to the Jackson collection and removed records for discarded material.
- The Chemistry Department requested that they be allowed to keep some library material that was to be recycled for their own use. This material has withdrawn stamped on the call numberr label and barcode, but may set off security sensors if it was targeted.
- Because the Chemistry Library had no check-out system, there may still be material floating around campus that has been removed from our collection but has not been stamped with "withdrawn." If you suspect someone is turning in this type of material to you, please send it to Katherine or myself.
If you have any additional questions, let Stacey know.
