The Dean of Students Office has instituted an Educational Resolution Program for minor Academic Integrity violations. It's similar to traffic school, where students can complete several activities designed to teach them about citation and academic integrity and have the violation expunged from their record (as long as they don't violate the policy again while they're at UNCG).
If a student approaches you at the desk and asks you about meeting with a librarian as part of the ERP, please ask them to email me or Mary to set up an appointment. These sessions usually take about half an hour. Several students have been referred directly to me by DoS, so I know how they work. If you want to participate, I'm happy to sit down and let you know how I've handled them.
