Hi all,
There's another group of students who will be looking for some variation of "articles written by nurses." This time it's about 90 students in NUR 440.
If you encounter any nursing students looking for "4 peer reviewed evidence-based research articles that can be applied to my work and were written by nurses in the past 5 years," -- please do your best to unravel what the instructor has actually told the students.
I've heard back from one of the NUR 440 instructors. Ms. Leiper has asked her group to do the following - "The students need to find 2 research articles (research done by nurses) and 2
other articles (preferably done by nurses) that apply to the area that they work in...The non-research articles can be any kind - systematic review, overview, or anything of interest..." The past 5 years rule does apply.
When searching, start with CINAHL and use the "any nurse is an author" limit. Don't go hog-wild on the limits.
Sometimes the "full detailed record" in the database will give clues that tell you the author is a nurse. At other times you have to go to the full text article and look for author info there.

Thanks,
Lea
