From NC LIVE
On Monday, September 19th, NC LIVE will disable the MyiLibrary Audio Books platform from use. Beginning September 19th, you will no longer be able to access or download audio books via the MyiLibrary service.
The MyiLibrary Audio Books service available through NC LIVE and North Carolina libraries will soon change to a new audio book provider and platform, Recorded Books One Click service. Though NC LIVE staff had originally planned to simply swap one service out for the other, the Recorded Books One Click platform will not be ready until later this fall.
Because MyiLibrary is no longer supporting their platform and due to the level of patron complaints, we have decided to turn off the MyiLibrary service on September 19th. Unfortunately, this change will result in a gap in audio book service until we are able to begin service through Recorded Books.
We expect to have the new Recorded Books One Click platform available later this fall. The new Recorded Books platform will feature enhancements to the download process, as well as enhanced searching and browsing capabilities. As we have information on the new platform and when it will launch, we will pass that news along through this email list and via our Newsroom blog.
