Netlibrary books/also known as Ebooks on EbscoHost

Since the switchover to EBSCO in August, there have been access problems. Evidently, these actually work better from off campus because of a variety of access problems. Right now, some of our computers in the Ref area and offices have Adobe 9 which means each page must be loaded separately - you can't move directly from page to page. The computers just installed (the monitor sits on top of the CPU, in the last section away from the Reference desk) work correctly - the others don't. Use Firefox and not Internet Explorer. For new machines, Firefox is in the all programs list, but not the desktop. For off campus users having problems:

1. User must download Adobe Acrobat Version 10.2.

Until we can fix it users will have to use FireFox or Chrome Browsers to view books easily.

  1. I could not understand why you said Use Firefox and not Internet Explorer.Do you recommend using Firefox over IE or it will only work in Firefox?
