SPSS error & access

On Saturday a sociology prof tried to use SPSS to read his data set in the CITI lab. He got this error: "spss error #2072 unanticipated problem with the license"

Brown & Franklin have just learned that this error happens every time a patron tries to launch SPSS (start button > all programs > SPSS Inc > PASW statistics) on log in computers that have the same set up as CITI computers (CITI lab and the computers in the Ref room that have the CPU sitting under the monitor instead of in back).

They're working on it.

SPSS is also supposed to be available in campus labs like the Superlab. It's supposed to be in Run advertised programs. That's the word from ITS in response to my 6-tech email.

Thanks,
Lea
