sound on new student computers in ref

The newer student computers in reference have an itty bitty problem. Basically their sound has been disabled and students can't increase the levels without an administrative password. Apparently this is an image issue and it has been reported to ERIT.


The older computers still allow students to use sound. You can distinguish the two by the speakers symbol on the bottom right of the screen. If looks like this (without a red X) then the volume works... If it looks kinda like this, then it is not working.
