Sam Parker in the Special Education Services department in the School of Education has been working with Sorenson Communications, an international video interpreting service. They have donated a video phone along with a television monitor for installation in Room 263 of Jackson Library. This Monday the installation was complete, and now anyone can go to Jackson Library, check out the key to Room 263, and can access the video phone for free. The goal of having this installed in the Library is to offer accessible phone services to deaf students who are part of the greater University population. This service is also available for the general public.
