Sometimes, these could be microform with a SuDoc call number (instead of a Reel number) and sometimes they may be in a specific collection. In the example below, (click to enlarge) the government document is an NC, or North Carolina, document, and those are by themselves on the left wall of the basement (on the taller shelves right in front of you when you first get down there.)
We spent a bit of time tonight looking for this one in the larger gov doc collection and might have accidentally sent the patron home empty-handed if we hadn't realized this bit of info!
