HIS 392 -- a Holocaust class - has this assignment and I wanted to give you a heads up: 

Your task is to research your theme and its representation in the English-language press between 1939 and 1945 to answer the following questions: How was your theme reported in the English-language press during World War II? How does the presentation of your theme reflect public opinion about the war? The relationship between World War II to the atrocities committed against the Jews? Were they presented as part of the German war aims? How does the representation of your theme help us understand the relationship between Germans and the rest of the world? How did the refugee crisis impact attitudes towards these atrocities? 

They will be doing most of this the week of Nov 17 and I'll be gone (hence the heads up)  I did a libguide which is on the History page and provided an in-class demo where I focused on the primary sources.  I let them know I'll be gone and that they'd be in good hands with all of you!  Thanks, Kathy
