Kelley O'Brien's ART 344: Digital Darkroom course will be using the Reference Room as their classroom again for the first few weeks of the term this semester (with the exception of a few days where they will be in 177A, Hodges, and/or the DMC). Their work includes photocopying images from books, creating collages from those images, enlarging and reducing collages on the photocopier, laying out collages and texts into zines, and finally photocopying, folding, and cutting their zines. At times, Kelley will also be lecturing and holding critiques. You will likely notice increased volumes of students
Kelley's class meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30- 5:45 pm. The dates they will be meeting in the Reference Room are August 24 and 31 / September 7, 12, 14, and 19. There will be signs on the tables reserved for the class noting the date/time they will be in use. Details about potential use of the ROI photocopier are forthcoming (although they may not need to use it.)
