CST 105 students

Hi Everyone,

If you get questions about a persuasive speech assignment it is probably related to CST 105. Please refer any confirmed CST 105 students to the course's LibGuide: uncg.libguides.com/cst105. Normally I only take virtual consultations but if CST 105 students absolutely insist on an in person meeting I don't want other librarians to have to do it, so tell those students to email me.

There is one student in particular who is doing a project on why Lebron James is the "GOAT" in terms of basketball. They are chatting in multiple times a day every day and are not providing us with the information we need to help them so please point this person directly to me instead of engaging with them.

Also, this note is for interns especially: it is not our job to do the searching for the students. We have had several interactions in the last day or so where students in CST 105 seem to expect us to hand them their sources and/or citations. Please remember that you are there to guide and to assist, not to do the work for them. Most, if not all, CST 105 students have had some form of library instruction by now and should be prepare to explore resources on their own. Again, always feel free to refer them to me, even if it means that they don't get what they want right then and there!
