desk on Fri/Sat nights
Hi, all, we are going to be covering Ref. Desk from 5-8 on Friday and Saturday nights this semester, and will review usage before the fall, when we're likely to look very carefully at library hours and desk coverage if expected budget cuts materialize. Interns will be covering these hours - so librarians who cover Saturdays will need to check with interns who will need a dinner break between 4 and 5 if they are covering the entire shift (sometimes it will be split with different people covering 1-5 and 5-8). I'd like to ask that anyone covering Fri and Sat after 5 record questions carefully and in more detail than is normal - if you enter a question on the form, in the description field , please note the approximate amount of time spent in parentheses after your description of the question. For example, for a question on resources on internet dating - record "articles and books for freshman English paper on Internet dating (10 minutes)" This level of detail will help us to decide on levels of coverage to provide.
