Effective immediately, there will be some changes in how lost and found items are handled, with items from the Library, including the Superlab, being taken to EUC Info Desk once a day - I've listed some highlights below and will post the full document on the Q drive for Ref in the folder Department and Library policies, file name Lost and Found.
We should still take items to the Access Services Desk for transport to EUC, but if patrons are looking for items lost more than a day ago, they should be sent directly to EUC. Access Services will not be checking flash drives for identifying information. ID Cards will be taken to the Spartan Card Center Monday-Thursday @ 3pm. I have always emailed people when I find an ID, and then let Access Services know that I've done that when I turn the ID in. If Ref. Desk staff do want to let people know that flash drives have been found - you can check for identifying information and do so, but that's not mandatory by any means, since you can often check multiple files without finding anything useful. cash will be kept in the library lock box so if anyone has lost money, they should continue to go to Access Services. from Mary - taken from Access Services document
Online testing also cuts down on the amount of paperwork and test review that human resource professionals must perform.STC Technologies
