A couple of Page High School students have visited to use print copies of literary criticism sets.
They need twentieth century literary criticism. The catalog says that we should have it in Reference at PN771 .T830 but the set doesn't seem to be there. We've looked in Ref Room nooks and crannies and on the 3d floor.
I've asked a few other librarians if they know where this set is.
For now, just let the visitors know that it's unavailable and we do have online literary criticism databases in case their teacher will accept that format
Literature Criticism Online (also from Gale)
Literature Resource Center (also from Gale)
Literary Reference Center Plus
and of course Jenny's English libguide lists other nice article databases for literary criticism.
Thanks,
Lea
UPDATE from Mary - this was withdrawn and apparently records didn't get changed. I have put in a request to cataloging to please do this. Useful alternatives in print are the Dictionary of Literary Biography and Contemporary Authors, both are still in the Reference Collection and there's a fair amount of overlap with Twentieth Century, although far less criticism. For that, the online sources which Lea listed are best.
